As we all know, the safety of baby products is crucial. Through the relevant international certification, the safety and quality of the product can be ensured. The following are the most commonly used international certificates for diaper products.

ISO 9001

ISO 9001 is the international standard for a quality management system (“QMS”).  In order to be certified to the ISO 9001 standard, a company must follow the requirements set forth in the ISO 9001 Standard. The standard is used by organizations to demonstrate their ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and regulatory requirements and to demonstrate continuous improvement.

CE

The CE marking is the manufacturer's declaration that the product meets EU standards for health, safety, and environmental protection.

There are two main benefits CE marking brings to businesses and consumers within the EEA(European Economic Area):

- Businesses know that products bearing the CE marking can be traded in the EEA without restrictions.

- Consumers enjoy the same level of health, safety, and environmental protection throughout the entire EEA.

SGS

SGS (Society of Surveillance) is a Swiss multinational company which provides inspectionverificationtesting and certification services. The core services offered by SGS include the inspection and verification of the quantity, weight and quality of traded goods, the testing of product quality and performance against various health, safety and regulatory standards, and to make sure that products, systems or services meet the requirements of standards set by governments, standardization bodies or by SGS customers.

OEKO-TEX

OEKO-TEX is one of the most recognized product labels in the market. If a product is labeled as OEKO-TEX certified, it confirms no harmful chemicals from all stages of production(raw materials, semi-finished and finished) and safe for human use. This includes but not limited to raw cotton, fabrics, yarns and dyes. The standard 100 by OEKO-TEX sets limits on which substances can be used and what extent are permissible.

FSC

FSC certification ensures that products come from responsibly managed forests that provide environmental, social and economic benefits. The FSC Principles and Criteria provide a foundation for all forest management standards globally, including the FSC US National Standard. Certified by FSC means the products are eco-friendly.

TCF

TCF (totally chlorine free) certificate proves that the products does not use any chlorine compounds for wood pulp bleaching.

FDA

Firms exporting products from the United States are often asked by foreign customers or foreign governments to supply a "certificate" for products regulated by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). A certificate is a document prepared by FDA containing information about a product's regulatory or marketing status.

BRC

In 1996 at the BRC, the BRC Global Standards was first created. It was designed to supply food retailers with a common approach to supplier auditing. It has released a series of Global Standards, known as BRCGS, to assist producers.BRCGS Global Standards for Food Safety, Packaging and Packaging Materials, Storage and Distribution, Consumer Products, Agents and Brokers, Retail, Gluten Free, Plant-Based and Ethical Trading set the benchmark for good manufacturing practice, and help provide assurance to customers that your products are safe, legal and of high quality.
